Bob Dellaposta, New 2021 CD release “Close Friends Never Leave” is now available

Bob has been performing Blues, Rock-n-Roll and Americana music in Southwest Ohio and Northern KY for more than 40 years. A native of Bellevue, KY, he performed his first gig for money when he was just 15 years old. He has resided in Middletown, OH for the past 35+ years where in 2014 he was one of five entertainers recognized as a “Local Legend”. He has performed in small clubs like New York City’s “Kenny’s Castaways” and Nashville, TN’s “Bourbon St. Blues & Boogie Bar”. He has been a familiar entertainer in local clubs and night spots like Dayton, OH’s “Canal St. Tavern” & “Gilly’s” and Covington, KY’s “Madison Theater” singing what he calls blues based music with a rock-n-roll influence. He has performed at the “Cincy Winter Blues Fest”, outdoor festivals such as the “Eatonic Music Festival”, the “Baby Boomer Festival”, the “Lebanon Blues Festival” and the “Takin’ It To The Streets” concert series. Bob sings from the heart! Guitar Digest magazine described him as “a genuine blues cat who always strives to give the audience his best”. His high energy live shows are indeed legendary! Tunes & Trends magazine described him as “hard to miss and impossible to ignore”. His 2018 CD release “Break Away” was Cincy Blues Society’s Best Self Produced CD of the year. He has shared the stage with guitar greats Walter Trout and Johnny A., blues legends John Hammond, John Lee Hooker, Jr., Lil’ Ed and the Blues Imperials and Doug MacLeod, Americana roots blues and rock master Delbert McClinton and former Allman Bros. alum Johnny Neel. In 2007 he released “Baby I’m A Rich man”, a collection of original blues and rock tunes with a host of area musicians. In support of its release, he began touring with his current band “The Broken String Band”. In Dec. 2009, prior to opening the show for John Hammond @ Taffy’s of Eaton, it was announced that Bob would be the first inductee of the Taffy’s Hall of Fame for his contributions to Taffy’s and volunteerism for community fundraisers. In 2014 he released a second collection of original blues and rock tunes called “Face the Evil” with his Broken String Band. In 2016 Bob released an acoustic Cd titled “Time Goes By So Fast”. In 2018 he released the Johnny Neel produced “Break Away” recorded in Nashville, TN and in 2020 he released “Heart Fixed” his second consecutive album recorded in Nashville, TN.  After 5 albums of original songs, and thousands of live performances, Bob is celebrating more than 40+ years as a songwriter and performer, catch the band at one of the shows listed below.
